As a Supervisory National Bank Examiner (Regional Director), you will:
- Develop and retain essential bank supervision knowledge of risk trends in OCC institutions and collaborate with Assistant Deputy Comptrollers (ADC) and Examiners-In-Charge (EIC)s to ensure resource priorities are being met.
- Be a a Geographic (Geo) Team Point of Contact (POC) and support all bank supervision efforts to retain and develop specific skills needed in such areas as commercial credit, retail credit, mortgage banking, compliance, CRA, BSA/AML, asset management, bank information technology, capital markets, and operational risk,
- Sponsor the New York training teams in bank supervision and be responsible for managing all entry level bank examiner hires through the probationary period.
- Serve as a member of the Regional Senior Management Group and work with the Deputy Comptroller, Associate Deputy Comptrollers, and Assistant Deputy Comptrollers in setting organizational goals, developing short and long-term plans, establishing priorities for the organization, and supporting the OCC strategic plan.
- Provide administrative and technical direction necessary to accomplish the work of the unit. Lead, motivate, and develop the staff, and plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and review their work.

- This position requires a National Bank Examiner (NBE) commission reflecting the incumbent is authorized to sign Reports of Examinations (ROEs) for national banks and federal savings associations.
- Complete a one-year trial period (unless already completed).
- Complete a background investigation (unless already completed).
- Sign a statement that you are voluntarily leaving the competitive service for a position in the excepted service, if applicable.
- Travel overnight or locally on a frequent basis.
- Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
- File an Executive Branch Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE-278) and an OCC Financial Disclosure Form.
- File an Executive Branch Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) and an OCC Financial Disclosure Form.

Additional information
- Relocation Incentive approved for Edison, NJ and New York, NY: One-time payment of 25% of selectee's base pay OR 30% of selectee's base pay paid out in installments over three years. If selected, you will be required to sign a service agreement. To qualify for the relocation incentive you must relocate to Edison or New York.
- This position is excluded from the bargaining unit.
