You will be responsible for providing skilled Occupational Therapy to clients in their homes on an intermittent basis. (PTO policy rewards longevity with increases each year)Competitively priced health plan, vision and dental, partially employer paid!Company paid short and long-term disability and life insurance (up to $50,000 in coverage)401K with employer matchCareer advancement opportunitiesProactive Health Management Wellness Program (PHMP)We pay for CPR Recertification!Brief overview of Responsibilities:Assist the physician in evaluating the client's level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic proceduresConduct ongoing assessments of the client's needs, including outcome and assessment information set (OASIS) assessmentsEvaluate the client's significant other(s), and the home situation to determine what instruction will be required and what family assistance will be available caring for the client, as well as what other agency and community services will be requiredAssist in development and implementation of the interdisciplinary client care plan to include Occupational Therapy in consultation with the physicianTeach, supervise and counsel the family and client in the total Occupational Therapy program and other related problems of the client at home.Confirm, on a weekly basis, the scheduling of visits with the Director of Therapy in order to coordinate agency visitsPrepare clinical/progress notes on the day of the visit which are incorporated into the chart within 24 hours.Other duties as assignedQualifications:Must be a graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy schoolMust be licensed in VirginiaMust have at least one year of institutional experienceIf you are interested and are a caring, compassionate nurse that can make a difference in the lives of our patients, then we would be interested in meeting you!!"James River is an equal opportunity employer.
