Operational Risk Senior Associate

As an Operational Risk Sr. Associate at Capital One you'll help build out our Process Management and Execution oversight program.

Operational Risk Sr. Associates at Capital One are highly motivated risk management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure and the opportunity to work with management to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Operational Risk management to design, implement and execute an enterprise Process Management & Execution (PM&E) oversight program
  
• Serve as subject matter expert to both Line of Business (LOB) and Independent Risk Management (IRM) functions in the assessment of operational risk
  
• Assist in the design and implementation metrics and reporting for PM&E
  
• Develop and execute an enhancement roadmap for the program
  

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  
• At least 1 year of Financial Services Risk Management Experience
  
• At least 2 years of Project or Process Management experience
  
• At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Project Management
  
• Certificate in Project Management Professional (PMP), Certificate of Project Management (CPM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Six Sigma Lean Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  
• 2+ years of Financial Services risk management experience
  
• 3+ years of Project or Process Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk
  
• Ability to manage expectations and coordinate cross-functional teams
  
• Ability to make subjective and informed decisions, influence stakeholders and articulate decision making
  
• Ability to analyze, problem solve and deliver effectively by identifying key stakeholders, understanding needs, and driving decision making/resolution through a consensus building approach
  
• Results orientation with the capability to quickly develop organizational awareness and culture within the company to effectively navigate and deliver outcomes
