Duties

  • Conducts and coordinates as the primary expert and consultant on enterprise-wide recruitment, talent acquisition and professional development.
  • Develops enterprise-wide solutions to fully staff the program with highly qualified law enforcement applicants.
  • Develops the processes and procedures to analyze current workforce needs; projected retirement vacancies, and projected vacancies, including long-range planning and training, recruitment strategies of the Bureau's law enforcement employees for OJS.
  • Develops contacts and strategy with military programs, colleges and universities and professional organizations to reach highly qualified candidates to build applicant sources for positions at OJS.
  • Develops contacts with applicants being hired through the targeted recruitment process to answer questions, assist with the on-boarding process and re-check-in on their success after appointment.

  • Salary posted is based on the RUS pay table, but the selectees salary will include locality pay if applicable.

Qualifications

GS-12
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have one (1) of specialized experience or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level: 1) conducting and coordinating recruitment efforts; 2) talent acquisition; and 3) professional development. Experience at this level may include developing recruitment solutions to fully staff the program with highly qualified law enforcement applicants, developing process and procedures to analyzed current workforce needs, projecting retirement vacancies, projecting vacancies, long-range planning and training, and recruitment strategies.

Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.


Education

One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.

If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must send a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript in order to receive credit for that education which shows the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
