Clerk of the Works- Project Supervisor

ADVERTISEMENT FOR CLERK-OF-THE-WORKS The Jefferson County Board of Education is seeking to hire contract services for a Clerk of-the-Works for the new construction of Ranson Elementary School SBA (School Building Authority) Project. Responsibilities: Observe and monitor work being performed by contractors at the construction site in accordance with the construction contract documents and SBA guidelines. Attend all project meetings as the Owners Representative, monitor construction progress and maintain all records as directed by owner. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should possess experience with all aspects of commercial (residential acceptable) building projects with emphasis on school construction. Background in overseeing school construction preferred. Individuals with WV inspection code and standards in commercial or industrial construction a plus. Individuals must have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all phases of non-residential (residential acceptable) construction and be capable of evaluating construction. Three-years practical experience as a supervisor, foreman or clerk-of-the-works for nonresidential construction projects is preferred.
