ALEXANDRIA
The Alexandria Court Service Unit is seeking a qualified individual to provide support to Court Service Unit staff, programs, and services including administrative, budget, and oversight of the coordination of services for the Division.
This position will be responsible for performing all procurement functions for the office; maintaining, coordinating, and processing all small purchase card transactions and performing monthly reconciliation; developing and maintaining budget spreadsheets; and monitoring the Court Service Unit’s allocated budgets and expenditures for both the city and state. This incumbent will serve as the Budget Analyst for Court Service Unit, providing leadership and expertise to the Court Service Unit Director with duties to include forecasting, preparation, and monitoring of the budget for the city and state.

Minimum & Additional Requirements
Considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures; Proficiency with budget/fiscal analysis, Proficiency within procurement, Proficiency with word processing and Microsoft Excel; ability to work cooperatively with the public and co-workers; time management and organizational skills; ability to work within deadlines; ability to work independently and use good judgment; knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping skills; experience performing receptionist duties and using telephone/switchboard and other office equipment; demonstrated ability to develop and maintain files; demonstrated ability to perform data entry; considerable experience with preparing business correspondence/reports and working with confidential information; knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, spelling and usage and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with the public and co-workers.
Preferred Qualifications
High school graduate or GED. Two years of secretarial experience is preferred.
