Its range of interests includes curriculum, instructional personnel, assessment, accreditation, international initiatives, and oversight of the overall academic mission. The mission of Undergraduate Education is to provide all students with a quality, engaging undergraduate education that gives them the tools to be Engaged Citizens and Well-Rounded Scholars who are Prepared to act. Undergraduate Education manages the Undergraduate and Mason Core Curriculum, Academic Advising, Fellowships, UNIV Programs, and the Mason Impact initiatives including Civic EngagementAbout the Position:Mason's Quality Enhancement Plan "Transformative Education through Anti-Racist Community Engagement" has led to the creation of The Office of Community Engagement and Civic Learning (CECiL) within Undergraduate Education. CECiL aims to embed community and civic engagement into the academic and co-curricular experience and connects Mason students and faculty with community partners and projects to develop civically engaged students and well-rounded scholars committed to positive social change. The Program Manager for Outreach and Partnerships will have leadership in the development of both campus and community partnerships as well as processes connected to deepening mututally beneficial relationships between Mason and community organizations.The Program Manager for Outreach and Partnerships will lead the development of mutually beneficial relationships between CECiL and community-based organizations to support engaged learning, community-based research, and student programs at Mason. The Program Manager will report to the Director of CECiL with a focus on building our capacity to support students, faculty, and staff in doing meaningful community engagement by deepening our relationship with partners and leading our outreach strategy. The Program Manager will play a role in executing the vision and goals of Mason's Quality Enhancement Plan, "Transformative Education through Anti-Racist Community Engagement." Specific duties include:Responsibilities:Partnership Development: Communicate regularly with community partner organizations to build reciprocal relationships and keep up to date on community identified projects;Partner Engagement Events: Plan annual Service Fair, mid-year engagement event, and Community Engagement Consortium as high impact partner activities;Engagement Database: Assist with implementing Mason's Community Engagement Database and updating/maintaining community partner activities;K-12 Outreach: Partner with Mason stakeholders to engage with regional K-12 institutions;Course Support: Assist faculty in identifying community partners for their courses; support students in identifying community partner placements;Community Engagement Consortium: Assist with leading the Community Engagement Consortium which is focused on coordination and communication within Mason; andCECiL Representation: Serve as CECiL representative to divisional, university, and community committees, work groups, and task forces.Required Qualifications:Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;Experience with collegiate community and/or civic engagement programs or experience in the nonprofit sector;Experience developing mutually beneficial partnerships; andDemonstrated communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with a broad array of campus and community stakeholders.
