Duties

• Performs maintenance, calibration, acceptance inspections, technical inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, overhaul, and surveillance testing of electronic components based on regulatory guidance.
• Evaluates and installs sophisticated/complex Laboratory equipment and/or systems to include (1) standalone equipment and/or components that contain integrated circuitry and/or microprocessors.
• Develops surveillance techniques and procedures to use in inspecting the contractor's operations to determine efficiency and effectiveness. Resolves and/or reports instances of unacceptable performance.
• TMDE Support Coordinator, control point for matters concerning calibration and repair of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).

Specialize experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes maintain electronic laboratory equipment to ensure proper functionality; calibrate electronic medical equipment to include components and sub-assemblies; and test medical equipment in use to determine serviceability and disposition.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
