Position title: Coordinator, Finance Coordinator
Position #: 111965
The position will be responsible for a variety of financial, administrative, and IT-related duties within the ACIGS unit within the Division of Information Technology (DIT) at the University of Maryland, College Park.
Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining all billing and accounts receivables functions for ACIGS customers, assisting the with revenue budget preparation, acting as a liaison between ACIGS federal agency customers and the University’s ORA department for contract submissions, serving as an updater for TCard and PCard reconciliations for all ACIGS staff members, and serving as a delegate for travel related activities for ACIGS staff members.
IT-related duties include maintaining the ACIGS/MAX website and updating its content and acting as the ACIGS/MAX NOC Admin Service Desk contact for customers’ technical issues and network monitoring by documenting and maintaining details of the interaction and resolution.
Additional duties include assisting with meeting planning for the annual ACIGS/MAX All Hands meeting, workshops, and expos. Other administrative duties will be assigned as needed.
Minimum qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:
2-5 years financial and data management experience, preferably in a university setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to handle multiple, complex tasks and prioritize ongoing and new work assignments.
- Excellent organizational time management, written and oral communication, and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Proficiency in the operation of a PC and or MAC. Knowledge of light web design and maintenance competencies to manage the ACIGS/MAX website.
- Demonstrated proficiency with standard computer-based word processing and business applications, such as Email, Adobe Acrobat PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and proficiency in QuickBooks or other similar accounting software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive business matters and exercise discretion in handling confidential information.
- Leadership and analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems and recommend solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive, customer-service attitude; proficient with computer concepts and applications.
Preferences:
- Prior experience managing databases.
- Thorough knowledge of the State of Maryland and University of Maryland policies and procedures for relevant functions is highly preferred.

Salary range Mid $50,000s-High $60,000s
