Adventist HealthCare Post-Acute Services seeks to hire an experienced Director of Education who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Director of Education of Post-Acute Services, you will:
•Provide leadership and oversight for the planning, organizing and directing of the clinical education of employees in Patient Care Services.
•Ensure fiscal and organizational management of the department.
•Assess and act upon organizational education needs and professional development opportunities through collaboration with organizational leaders and stakeholders.
•Develop and support education initiatives to orient, maintain and enhance the development, clinical acumen and competence of staff
•Contribute to hospital-wide improvement opportunities
•Maintain knowledge of and promote compliance with education and/or competency requirements to support organization compliance with regulatory requirements
•Serve as a clinical education/professional development subject matter expert on entity and organization committees.
•Develop and manage discipline specific department productivity and budget effectively
•Integrate organizational strategic planning into department initiatives
•Facilitate and manage relationships with various schools, community, industry, and professional organizations and associations that benefit the hospital and ensures compliance with any related requirements or standards

Qualifications include:
•Bachelor's degree in health care related field required
•Master of Science in health care related field preferred
•Minimum 5 years healthcare experience
•Minimum of 2 years in education or professional development
•2 years leadership experience preferred
•Current Maryland license
•American Heart Association BLS Certification
•Certification in clinical specialty or in education within one year of hire

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday.
