Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading and managing teams performing Modeling and Simulation (M&S) supporting assessment tasking, working on scheduling, progress reviews, and integration of team products; and extensive knowledge and experience using mission level DoD software programs including, but not limited to, Next Generation Threat System or the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling products.
In addition to the one year of specialized experience, your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Develop performance metrics to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of customer support.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Keep abreast of changes in customer mission requirements and initiates service modifications to meet changing requirements.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Lead modernization teams including government and industry partners.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Evaluate established methods and procedures and prepare recommendations for changes in methods and practices.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

- You will serve in the 7.2 Forecasting, Assessment, and Transition Local Competency as a direct report to 7.2 Local Competency Lead (LCL).
- You will serve as a Modeling , Simulation, and Assessments expert, supporting the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL).
- You will demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to shepherd assessment efforts from initial conceptualization through to results analysis and reporting to MCWL and other stakeholders.
- You will work with the MCWL divisions, Fleet Marine Forces, and other United States Marine Corps (USMC) organizations to identify assessment problems and to scope plans for addressing those problems through various assessment techniques.
- You will create simulation models created using mission level Department of Defense Modeling Simulation software programs similar to the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) or the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).
- You will lead teams, working to perform Modeling and Simulation in support of capability assessments tasking, schedule and organize, develop and provide progress reviews, and integrate teams products.
- You will understand and represent USMC and United States Navy (USN) tactics, techniques, and procedures in models assessments and simulation efforts.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Data Analyst/Data Administration level I within 12 months of appointment.
