Dewberry is seeking a motivated Project Support Specialist for its Disaster Recovery Team in our Fairfax, VA office, who is flexible, energetic, organized, and detail oriented. The successful candidate will support the Business Unit Manager and Project Managers with a variety of project related support activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Business Unit Manager with internal coordination among project managers, and corporate staff
  • Assist Project Managers with team coordination, data collection, reporting, and data analytics
  • Provide support to professional and technical staff
  • Provide surge support and general assistance to our Recruiting, Travel, Expense Report, Equipment Management, Project Controls, Security/badging, and Administrative teams
  • Create and/or prepare memos, letters, and reports including materials for meetings (agendas, presentations, documents, notes)
  • Schedule meetings and keep organized.
  • Printing, copying, and scanning when required . Maintain electronic and paper files . Archive projects/documents, as needed
  • Track and distribute equipment , coordinate with Logistics/IT for equipment ordering/ maintenance /supplies
  • Support recruiting, vetting, hiring, and on boarding of new staff
  • Handle sensitive information with complete discretion and coordinate/support badging/security process for project staff
  • Coordinate and m anage travel for up to 200 staff
  • Review and approve travel expense reports
  • Develop/edit project budgets and generate financial reports
  • Support invoice preparation for Dewberry clients and review invoice submissions of Dewberry subcontractors
  • Deploy to disaster sites for up to 1 year, compile data, complete data analytics, and coordinate/support field team activities


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area required
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiar with Share Point, Box, and other file sharing sites/capabilities
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Arc GIS Online, and relational data base software is a plus
  • Experience in the disaster recovery business
  • Must have a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly to various tasks and changing demands
  • Ability to work independently while following instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required
  • US citizen and ability to obtain a security badge is required
  • Ability to work overtime and/or remotely is required
