Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Network/Systems Administrator, Sr. Associate to support a Federal Government client at our Bethesda, MD location. The role will support and enhance the client's network infrastructure, servers, and storage; manage configuration and backup/recovery of network devices and systems; and facilitate migration to Cloud services.
Responsibilities
- Configuration and management of switches, routers, load balancers and other networking devices
- Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Windows 2003/2008/2012 servers, Virtual servers, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Configuration and management of shared storage technologies such as ISCSI, Storage Area Networks (SAN), and Network Attached Storage
- Configuration and management of WINS, DNS, DHCP, EqualLogic, Microsoft IIS, SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Designing backup policies and procedures, performance and maintenance of backup and recovery solutions
- Supporting and engineering for Cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS technologies
- Following and recommending best practices.
- Collaborating with contract team and Federal customers to promote a positive, helpful, and inclusive environment.
- Managing tasks to meet customer SLAs and expectations, communicate issues and recommend remediation.
- Performing other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Configuration and management of switches, routers, load balancers and other networking devices.
- Five (5) or more years' experience or more in desktop, server, network, and security support including installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Windows 2003/2008/2012 servers, Virtual servers, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Five (5) or more years of configuration and management of shared storage technologies such as ISCSI, Storage Area Networks (SAN), and Network Attached Storage
- Three (3) or more years' experience in configuration and management of WINS, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft IIS, SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of EqualLogic network devices is a plus.
- Experience in designing backup policies and procedures, performance of backup and recovery solutions and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of Cloud technologies including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong skills in the following key areas including strategic thinking, multi-tasking, time management, planning and executing to a defined schedule.
