Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking an Information Systems & Cyber Security, Senior Analyst (System Security Engineer) to support a Federal Government client at our Patuxent River, MD location.

Responsibilities
  • Understand, apply, and tailor Systems Engineering Process and Principles as required to perform position functions
  • Lead the system or system of systems technical events in providing the expertise in SSE traceable to CDD/requirements documents
  • Research answers to checklist questions from subject matter experts
  • Serve as a TRB Member for system technical events
  • Manage and approve system models where applicable
  • Work with the supplier, competency SME's and program IPT's to develop a solution to technical issues throughout the system development
  • Conduct engineering analysis and develop alternatives to address potential solution sets
  • Make recommendations on cost, schedule, and performance tradeoffs necessary to reduce risk
  • Adjudicate recommendations on C/S/P trade-offs to manage program risk
  • Develop solutions and make recommendations to solve major and minor technical problems
  • Develop, manage, and review system in development program/products/processes documentation
  • Interface with requirements/OPNAV and acquisition communities/ASN(RDA) on fleet requirements and system performance in operational environment
  • Participate and provide inputs to requirements documentations
  • Participate in new start or major weapon system upgrade Analysis or Alternative (AoA)
  • Develop the SSE/Cybersecurity MOE/MOP to MS&A process
  • Understand, interpret, and implement security measures as prescribed in DoD Instructions, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and other applicable instructions
  • Understand and apply Risk Management Framework for DoD Information Technology (IT)

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree is required. Degree should be focused on Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Must possess an IAT Level II certification or higher, such as Security+ or be able to obtain within six months of start date.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with the highest levels of management and leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, diverse teams and effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort
  • Adept with Microsoft Office Suites
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment.
  • Ability to perform with very minimal oversight or supervision
  • Understand and implement Anti-Tamper (AT) designs in system security
  • Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with NAVAIR
  • Familiar with Defense Acquisitions and Lifecycle processes
