The MIL Corporation seeks a Cyber Security, Senior Associate to support a Federal government client at one of our Washington, DC Metropolitan area locations.

  • Provide systems administration/engineering of Red Hat Linux, to include any new versions
  • Determine administration and maintenance of enterprise server applications including Apache, Php, Python, MySQL, Varnish, and Tomcat
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux scripting languages.
  • Provide management and configuration of Fiber Channel (FC) SAN and Network File System (NFS) IP-based storage systems for use with Unix/Linux systems.
  • Implement security patches for Linux using RedHat Satellite and Ansible
  • Apply RedHat Linux patches and security fixes for UNIX and Linux servers during scheduled patch events.
  • Provide system health monitoring, reporting and incident response
  • Conduct Linux VM provisioning and decommissioning.
  • Provide input to technical writer for status reports and technical documentation
  • Review and fulfill requests from customers via the Library's ticketing system. Incidents need to be complied with in accordance with the OCIO Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Priority Matrix
  • Knowledge of PKI infrastructure
  • Maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner
  • Participate in the Annual Performance Review Process

Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 Years as a System Administrator
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to take ownership of issues, escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary
  • Highly motivated team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities
  • Ability to create, maintain and publish relevant support documentation in order to assist all staff in the quick resolution of their incidents and service requests and enable users to become more self-sufficient
  • Willingness to attend internal training as necessary to keep up to date with the latest technology and internal system processes
  • Ability to undertake other necessary duties not specifically stated without altering the nature or level of responsibility
  • Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination
