Job Announcement

Responsible for the direction and management of four business areas to include Human Resources, Budget/Finance, Information Technology, and the Customer Services Intake Section. Serves as member of the DCC Executive Leadership Team and works closely with the Director related to long range financial planning, strategic and workforce planning, organizational development and performance. Work includes performing strategic analyses, planning and support for budget, finance, procurement, revenue collections, human resources, performance measurement, and business processes. Provides analysis, monitoring, and oversight of agency financial resources, and advises the Director of financial performance and necessary actions. Manages and oversees all human resources activities for the department, including classification issues, employee relations, Family Medical Leave, injury and OSHA reporting, payroll, performance management, personnel actions, policy/procedure development, recruitment, training, workers’ compensation, and workforce planning. Serves as the equity lead and oversees the agencies equity team to ensure the One Fairfax Policy is being implemented.

The assigned functional areas are Business administration, Public administration, Human Resources, Statistics, Finance, and/or Computer Science.

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in field related to the assigned functional area; Plus, four years of professional work experience within the functional area.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least four years advanced professional level experience in human resources, procurement, and managing and preparing budgets at the agency level. Supervisory experience is preferred.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
None.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position is primarily sedentary. Employee may be required to do some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items less than 15 lbs. in weight. Work requires the ability to operate keyboard-driven equipment and the ability to communicate clearly. All duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
