We are seeking a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Senior Specialist to join the subscriptions marketing team. This person will help further The Post's subscriptions goals by working collaboratively with our product team to test and optimize onsite touchpoints to turn Washington Post browsers into buyers.

The Washington Post includes salary ranges for certain positions to comply with local pay transparency laws. The salary range for this position is:
$42,385.20 - $109,300.00
The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.

We are seeking a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Senior Specialist to join the subscriptions marketing team. This person will help further The Post's subscriptions goals by working collaboratively with our product team to test and optimize onsite touchpoints to turn Washington Post browsers into buyers.
Responsibilities
- Partner with our product development teams to build and test new features related to on-site touchpoints across desktop, mobile Web and native apps, with the goal of improving the customer experience, registration and conversion rate, and new subscription starts
- Partner with other members of the marketing team to execute tests involving The Post's content metering/paywall experience; registration experience; softwalls; navigation elements and in-line modules
- Refine and possibly revamp existing flows for our registered users. Thoughtfully balance the user journeys around registration and subscription
- Work with our product and legal teams to ensure our conversion flows and touchpoints are compliant around the world
- Ideate and own a set of initiatives seeking to localize the paywall/regwall/on-site experience in key ex-US geographies
- Own ad hoc exploratory work, conducting industry research and analyzing trends to identify opportunities to drive further growth
- Design and implement reporting solutions enabling stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions
- Monitor existing metrics as well as develop and propose new metrics to make actionable intelligence available to business stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5+ years' work experience in a digital marketing or product role
- Demonstrated experience in improving conversion rates and the "consideration" phase of the marketing funnel
- Facility with data (asking for the right kind; manipulating data to interpret results; making decisions based on numbers).
- Experience using Tableau and Google Analytics; all Microsoft programs, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Ability to work efficiently in a hybrid environment
- Ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels of the organization
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Love and appreciation for news media and The Washington Post
- Bachelor's degree
