Sr. Tax Manager


As a Tax Manager at Capital One, you will lead a team to assist with the analysis and management of federal and state taxes. You will also gather information in response to document requests and research on tax issues.

General Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team to resolve federal and state tax questions
  • Analyze and interpret federal and state tax law; Continuously develops research and analysis skills for federal and state tax legislation, code, regulations
  • Create and validate tax scenarios for completeness and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and explain taxation laws through strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong executive communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law
  • CPA
  • At least 2 years of experience in General tax

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • At least 7 years of general tax preparation and tax research experience
