Job Summary:
Westat has a new opportunity for an Internal Controls Analyst, reporting to the Internal Controls Manager. You will have an opportunity to help shape the future of the company working closely with process owners and leadership in execution of this statement of work.   Your responsibilities will be multi-faceted and include policy management that consist of policy scheduling oversight, policy assessments and writing, developing training for the impacted parties on new or existing policies to facilitate clear understanding and effective execution of policies, and process mapping.  

To be successful in this role will require a highly accountable professional with internal or external controls experience; adept at writing and explaining regulatory and business jargon in layman's terms, comfortability with researching emerging trends and best practices, and being a change agent with proven success in execution of corporate initiatives or projects.

This is a remote position within the US with core hours of 10am-3pm EST.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Policy development and writing
  • Formal training development and monitoring
  • Process map development
  • Emerging process onboarding

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business
  • 5-8 years of experience 
  • Previous working experience with policy development and implementation, writing experience and process mapping 
  • Prior training development experience 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Visio 
  • Prior mid-to large size organization experience
  • Prior second or third line of defense experience

Minimum Qualifications:  
  • Demonstrated communication skills 
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Collaboration with teams, managers and/or clients
  • Detail Oriented
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite especially Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, teams, and SharePoint.
