Job share, part-time merit position for 20 hours per week.
This is an opportunity to join the Addiction Medicine Clinic (AMC) team on a part-time basis. AMC provides Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), primarily to those with opioid use disorders who are prescribed Suboxone. Many clients have co-occurring psychiatric disorders. AMC Behavioral Health Specialists provide case management, including assessments and service planning, to individuals participating in Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT). AMC uses a team approach, with provider, nurse, and behavioral health staff working collaboratively to serve individuals in the program. AMC is based at the Sharon Bulova Center for Community Health (formerly Merrifield Center). Potential for flexible schedule including telework. Additional hours will be available for this position to work.

Employment Standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, nursing, counseling or a related field, plus one year of clinical experience or bachelor’s degree and a valid Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification plus one year of clinical experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer. A TB screening upon hire.
All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two weeks after the last required dose) as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. Proof of an exemption or vaccination status will be required during the pre-employment onboarding process. New employees who obtain an exemption from the vaccine mandate for medical or sincerely held religious beliefs may be subject to a weekly testing requirement. Vaccinated employees and employees with a medical or religious exemption will complete the attestation online on their first day of employment or shortly thereafter.

Ability to independently transport self and fulfill duties at other sites as needed; observe process and document clinical information in electronic health record; and make appropriate clinical interventions. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

- Makes behavioral health diagnoses using Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, International Classification of Diseases or other diagnostic tools as required;
- Develops client and/or family centered therapeutic treatment plans, with consideration given to the nature and severity of the behavioral health problem, family, cultural and employment related circumstances, legal involvement, individual and family histories, physical condition, and other pertinent factors;
- Conducts independent behavioral health intakes and assessments;
- Collaborates with service professionals inside and outside of the Community Services Board;
- Adapts and modifies treatment interventions as indicated;
- Provides case management, outreach and engagement services as needed;
- Provides ongoing risk assessments for dangerousness to self and others with support and supervision as needed.

- Ability to formulate diagnoses and appropriate treatment plan;

- CSAC (Certified Substance Abuse Counselor)
- Licensed Mental Health Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia, in one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW),
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC),
- Clinical Psychologist,
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
