Job Announcement

Performs responsible secretarial and administrative duties for the division director, branch chiefs and division staff. Assignments involve complex functions and require initiative in carrying out assignments. Using FOCUS system, maintains and monitors division operating budget including the status funds, and is the division's purchasing card manager. Using FOCUS, monitors on-line time submissions by division staff and performs other tasks associated with position management. Works u nder general supervision of the Division Director.

This position is considered an essential position and is required to be available 24 hours a day/seven days a week (24/7) to respond and assist with snow, flooding, and other designated emergencies on an as-needed basis.

Note: The assigned functional areas of this position are general administrative support, customer service, and communications .

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to high school graduation and two years of experience providing administrative support in the assigned functional area(s).

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid driver's license.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to operate keyboard drive equipment. Physically and mentally able to use all applicable personal protective equipment in an outdoor environment; including hardhat, eye protection, hearing protection, safety footwear, long pants, sleeved shirt, and personal fall arrest harness. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
