Our client in the non-profit industry is seeking an Executive Personal Assistant to support their busy schedule. The Executive Personal Assistant will work closely with the physician's Senior Executive Assistant. This is a 1099 contractor position. If this sounds like you, we are looking for someone with experience as an Executive Assistant.

Qualified candidate must be able to:
  • Manage the physician's schedule and provide detailed information (including agendas, travel itineraries, reservations, etc.)
  • Manage public speaking calendar, which may include negotiating honoraria, travel, and preparing PowerPoint presentations
  • Manage personal appointments for the physician and his family
  • Schedule and interact with patients of a small medical practice
  • Assist with editing, writing, and formatting written materials and op-ed pieces for major publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, etc.
  • Collaborate in editing or drafting press releases and proposals in conjunction with the Communications department and Development department
  • Recruit and manage research intern
  • Arrange national and international travel
  • Create expense reports, track receipts, pay specific bills, submit reimbursements, and track patient billing

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required
  • Previous experience as a Personal Assistant is valuable but not required.
  • Comfortable working in-person and working in the physician's personal residence.] Comfortable working in a casual environment In-person work may occasionally be at office location
  • Dictation is a significant responsibility of this position. Superior word processing skills (50+ wpm) and an excellent command of English grammar and spelling are required
  • Ability to prioritize and anticipate Dr. Gordon's needs
  • Flexible and adapt easily to changing priorities and requests
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Computer literate, which includes working knowledge in Microsoft Office, Google Drive (includes Google Docs), and Gmail (for all web correspondence), Box.com (file storage system), and Zoom
  • Work with sensitive organizational, patient, and personal information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Professional and comfortable when communicating with the media, donors, members of Congress and Congressional staff, etc
  • Comfortable reaching out to people in positions of authority, including the media, press, and elected officials, and their gatekeepers. A capacity for cheerful persistence in this outreach, and in all their dealings, is important.
  • Excel in communication possessing good interpersonal skills and ability to speak loudly and clearly
  • Extremely detail oriented and able to multitask effectively.
  • Social media experience (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, blogs, etc.)
  • Apply strong decision-making skills
  • Accept feedback and guidance
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Be hospitable and enjoy welcoming visitors, and, where appropriate, providing refreshments for them
  • Have a sense of humor, be cheerful, be kind, and companionable
