Position Summary: Under the supervisor of the VP, CSG and Station Initiatives, serves as the first line of communication between OGA and station grantees regarding the TV and radio Community Service Grant (CSG) Programs. Supports OGA staff in the preparation of Community Service Grant (CSG) calculations and award offers, reviews annual CSG applications, and develops informational reports and data analysis as necessary.

Compensation: The salary for this position will be no less than $45,000 annualized with a hiring range up to $62,000. Exact salary determined by experience, education related to the role, organizational compensation structure and internal equity. Annual salary increases and bonus payment based on performance.

Specific Duties:

• Serves as the primary support staff for the OGA department.

• Drafts, proofreads, and helps disseminate OGA communications with stations and internal department communications.

• Helps plan and execute special events including webinars, station consultations, and meetings.

• Serves as first line of communication between OGA and grantees by responding to incoming telephone and e-mail communications and providing both general and technical customer support. Coordinates coverage of CSG mailboxes. Redirects inquiries or problems to other OGA staff, as appropriate.

• Coordinates needed information from grantees and communicates with them regarding their grant status. Reviews grantee certifications to help determine CSG eligibility.

• Reviews the CSG Agreement and Certification of Eligibility forms submitted by grantees for accuracy and completeness and communicates with station representatives on discrepancies, needed revisions and/or problems.

• Oversees the receipt of TV Local Content and Service Reports and Radio Audience Service Criteria reports.

• Coordinates, gathers, and reviews applications and data for stations seeking to enter and exit the radio CSG program.

• Provides administrative support to OGA staff during CSG grant calculations and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or a related field, or combination of equivalent coursework and experience.

• Three years related work experience in a position requiring skills in administration, project management, and/or grants and contract administration or management. 

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to generate original correspondence and reports.

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with a variety of people both internal and external to CPB.

• Ability to work independently, as well as within a team environment.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and issues of varying complexity with attention to detail.

• Proficiency in computer programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and database programs; strong web-based research and analytical skills.
