Principal Associate, Accounting (SEC Reporting)

Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven track record of project and program delivery; change resiliency to maintain momentum in a dynamic, fast-paced and complex environment and among competing priorities; and strong partnership and communication skills to engage and influence critical stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, who can support transformational change and deliver game-changing value. The preferred candidate will have experience working in Compliance and/or Risk Management organizations within a major financial company, with a solid understanding of process management frameworks, risk and control methodology, control testing methodology, and regulatory requirement management and applicability. Experience with automated/hybrid control testing is also a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and executing control framework strategy and timeline
  • Reviewing of operational results and collaborating with control intent to ensure risks are addressed timely
  • Managing, implementing and delivering on a subset of the program deliverables
  • Suggesting changes to control design based on control performance, changes to policy, or other identified risks
  • Gather data and reporting; perform initial analysis or potentially evaluate data provided by team analysts to better understand overall risk posture
  • Designing and implement internal governance processes
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline, automate and enhance our data governance practices, processes and controls
  • Tracking control performance and results from testing and audits for ongoing analysis and trend reporting
  • Support audits, exams, and Independent Risk Management (IRM) as needed


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in Risk Management, Compliance, or accounting experience or a combination
  • At least 3 years Process management or Project management experience or a combination


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology or Computer Science
  • 2+ years of experience in Analytics
  • 2+ years of Agile or Design Thinking experience
  • 4+ years Process Management experience
  • 4+ years of Project Management experience
  • 4+ year of experience in Risk Management
  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project management certification
  • Risk Certification (CRCM, CAMS, CIPP, ABA Risk Management Certification)
