Data & Analytics leverages business intelligence gained through advanced data analytics in order to maximize AARP's marketing and communications results. This includes using data science, data engineering, predictive modeling, and market analytics to guide data driven decision making.

Implements data-driven analytical approaches to understand and improve AARP's performance in key enterprise and experience metrics. Serves as a thought leader and subject matter expert in multiple analytical disciplines, particularly in the field of digital analytics. Develops and implements analytical processes and develops innovative approaches to help AARP better manage the complex consumer landscape, with an online focus. Serves as the Data Science and Advanced Analytics liaison to multiple business units and strategic initiatives. Identifies and recommends analytical best practices and presents results and recommendations to senior and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of scalable algorithms and methods to provide real-time recommendations.
  • Oversees the implementation, production, and quality control of predictive algorithms built for classification and selection, including machine learning models and regressions.
  • Provides business processes, system support, and data quality governance for master data through data coordination and integration to ensure efficient processes and consistent data flows to the organization and stakeholders.
  • Oversees building pipelines and other data engineering tasks.
  • Develops sophisticated data visualizations, writes code, builds models, and constructs visualizations as required.
  • Manages cross-functional analytic projects.
  • Coordinates with internal clients to increase analytic-based decisions in the organization and ensure those decisions are informed by DAG.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of operating and client-facing experience in an agency, consultancy, marketing services provider, data science, or sophisticated marketing operation
  • 5+ years of experience in multi-channel marketing campaigns, measurement, reporting, test design, and related analyses
  • 5+ years of experience with Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
  • Extensive knowledge of data, analytics, cloud, tools, and industry best practices in evaluating website and app effectiveness (e.g. journeys and response)
  • Knowledge of digital advertising principles and omni-channel campaign strategies, and analytics to support them
  • Proficiency in the use of online/offline data for marketing and analytics, infrastructure, and processes required to manage and mobilize data, including a working knowledge of industry vendors.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
