Senior Manager, Partner Marketing and Strategy

Capital One, one of Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For," is looking for a Senior Manager, Partner Marketing and Strategy, to accelerate growth within Capital One Trade Credit (COTC).

COTC provides customizable, tech-enabled B2B credit solutions for enterprise-scale merchants, as well as Partners with whom we can go-to-market as part of an integrated product or marketing strategy to serve their merchants and/or customers. Our trade credit solutions enable our merchants and Partners to grow sales, improve working capital, reduce risk, increase operational efficiency, and enhance their customer experience throughout the purchase-to-payment lifecycle.

In this role, you will lead Partner relationship(s) from a marketing perspective. Specifically, you will help develop and deliver product value propositions and integrated marketing strategies focused on customer acquisition, engagement, and retention to support the Partner(s) growth and success utilizing the Capital One Trade Credit program.

For this high-profile Senior Manager role, key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Onboarding new Partner(s) to the Capital One Trade Credit program; including collaborating with the Partner and internal teams on the development of program launch, branding, creative, value proposition, and messaging to support all program channels (e.g. web, email, social, SEO/SEM, DM, billing/statements, operational communications, training, etc.).
  • Build and develop strong relationships with external Partner(s) while connecting COTC capabilities that will help reach program goals.
  • Align Partner(s) and COTC objectives for annual marketing strategy development.
  • Lead product value proposition strategy efforts collaborating internally and with Partner(s) to develop and implement the road map, milestones, and help shape the final recommendation to executive leadership. This includes objectives, learning agendas, research plans, and analysis strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to repair, enhance and innovate the customer experience consistent with the Partner(s) brand.
  • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams including creative, agencies, analytics, research, client management, operations, product, tech, legal, compliance, and the client/partner to deliver on Partner program and marketing objectives.

Note: This role will require some travel (less than 15%)

  • Is proficient analyzing marketing metrics to understand opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Is passionate and informed on how to generate and build the case for transformative marketing ideas.
  • Is deeply knowledgeable in customer experience and omni-channel marketing strategies, particularly with a digital focus.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in multi-channel campaign development, including research, planning, execution and performance analysis.
  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B marketing.
  • At least 4 years of experience utilizing research and analytics to inform the development of marketing strategies.
  • At least 4 years of experience in creating and delivering presentations to influence senior audiences.
  • At least 4 years experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or graduate degree with marketing coursework (Market Research, Marketing, Sociology, Psychology, Behavioral Economics).
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing.
  • 6+ years experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • 3+ years of experience working with leadership and clients across multiple geographic locations.
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Services.
  • 3+ years of experience in agency or other client-facing roles collaborating with external partners.
  • 2+ years knowledge and understanding of the Technology industry.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Location is New York City: $167,187 - $197,243 for Sr. Manager, Marketing

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
