Equity Research Editor
Summary:
- Capital One Securities has an immediate need for a research editor or supervisory analyst to join our team and assist in the research publication process across our equity platform covering the Energy, Real Estate, Healthcare, and Technology sectors. The ideal candidate will have experience working directly in editing or research and possess the ability to work within a team and on a self-directed basis. Candidates must demonstrate a high level of skill in editing, writing, and attention to detail.
Location:
- Preferred locations: Dallas TX, Houston TX, McLean VA, New Orleans LA, New York NY
General Responsibilities:
- Review and edit equity research
- Assist with the management of BlueMatrix, a research publication application
- Collaborate with research analysts and associates for report preparation and to efficiently address pre-publication corrections
- Serve as a resource for research analysts regarding COS style standards and publishing expectations; onboard new analyst hires to acquaint them with same
- Communicate and collaborate as needed with the compliance team
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, correctness and that the materials meet appropriate regulator requirements
- Assist with research distribution list management
- Complete special projects to enhance research quality and distribution
- Assist with design work for special projects
- Maintain library and the tracking and maintenance of all correspondence of internal and/or external publications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 3 years experience in an editing or research role
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 3 years experience in equity capital markets
- Experience and education in publishing, energy, real estate, healthcare, or technology
- FINRA Series 7, 24, 86, or 87 licenses
