Platform Operations Engagement and Servicing Platforms Director (Card Payments/Rewards)

The role:

Platform Operations is a centralized team within Todd Kennedy's Platforms, Payments and New Business Initiatives organization. Platform Operations directly enables Card growth and innovation through efficient, accurate and well managed platform operations and delivery. As the Director of Platform Operations, Engagement and Servicing Platforms, Payments/Rewards, you will have a primary focus on delivering in three primary areas:
  • Operations strategy to enable successful new product/feature launches
  • Day to day business operations support
  • Well managed intent and governance


Primary responsibilities include:
  • Serve as trusted advisor for Payments and Rewards leaders
  • Lead strategic projects and operational improvement efforts for the platform
  • Lead the well managed agenda
  • Identify opportunities and action plans for improvement within the organization
  • Create, implement, and execute operational strategy
  • Design, plan, manage, and execute roadmaps to ensure delivery of top priorities
  • Leverage problem solving skills to ensure the health, operations, and metrics of overall domain ecosystem and delivery of intent
  • Develop objectives and deliver corresponding key results
  • Partner with with product, operations and well managed partners and customers to provide strategic thought partnership to drive and implement solutions
  • Create effective standards, processes, playbooks, reporting/communication, and robust tooling to understand platform issues and identify/support response to issues
  • Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure accountability for and delivery of commitments
  • Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands
  • Display exceptional consulting and collaboration skills with a variety of stakeholders across all levels
  • Show a willingness to learn and an intellectual curiosity to better understand Capital One's business processes to identify areas for improvement

  • Has a strong understanding of financial, banking, data, and technology concepts


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience with Project Management
  • At least 3 years of people management


Preferred Qualifications
  • Product, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
  • 3+ years of program and product management key principles, artifacts and best practices
  • 5+ years of people management
  • 7+ years of experience with Project Management
