White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Nurse Manager of Service Excellence who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Nurse Manager of Service Excellence you will:
•Directly report to the Director and is responsible for operationalizing the strategic plan for their department.
•Educate, coach and train front line staff on patient experience: develop a patient centered plan of care to achieve world class patient experience within WOMC from registration, inpatient, outpatient and to discharge.
•Promotes cohesive work teams and constructive conflict resolution both within the department and organization.
•Actively leads and encourages staff participation in continuous improvement efforts, DMAICs, and shared governance.
•Rounds on patients to accesses patient experience and department engagement. Establishes rapport with patients and family members to learn what is the most important to the patient in the hospital experience. Provides real time feedback to clinical leaders and staff.
•Collects data, prepares reports, and analyzes trends related to patient experience. Utilizes findings from analysis of trends to mentor individuals and departments to develop appropriate performance improvement action plans.
•Builds relationships by consulting, collaborating, and cooperating with leaders, physicians, and front-line staff to improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of patient care.
•Utilizes critical thinking skills and innovative strategies to meet patient experience goals.
•Educate clinical staff on all patient experience/service excellence initiatives with real time validation of performance. Coach, council, and document performance

Qualifications include:
• Baccalaureate Degree in nursing required, Master's degree preferred
• Active Maryland RN license required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification required
• Three (3) years of work experience in department- specific area, as defined by the department- specific certification requirements
•Supervisory and leadership experience preferred
