International Credential SpecialistThe George Mason University, Office of Admissions, is seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented individual to fill the position of International Credential Specialist. Responsibilities:Track receipt, evaluation, and dissemination of credentials for evaluation;Provide accurate and timely international credential evaluations and information on post-secondary institutions;Stay up-to-date on credential evaluation standards, best educational practices, and the latest information on academic policy regarding international admissions standards at the undergraduate- and graduate-level;Produce period reports on credential evaluation statistics;Develop and maintain working relationships with graduate units and other stakeholders;Maintain a positive and flexible attitude and provide constructive feedback within the team;Work in collaboration with other team members across the university and the Admissions Office to ensure excellent customer service; andAssist with other Office of Admissions projects, duties, and events as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience;Demonstrated written and oral communication skills;Demonstrated analytical skills;Ability to prioritize tasks in a hectic, deadline-driven environment, often working on multiple tasks concurrently;Comfortable working with diverse populations;Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information and situations;Computer literate and willing to learn new software applications;Demonstrated ability to work positively as a team member; andAvailable for evening and weekend work.Preferred Qualifications:Bilingual;Previous admissions experience; andExperience with international credential evaluation.
