Job Summary: 
Westat is seeking a Senior Software developer to be a part of corporate IT team developing web, desktop, and mobile applications to support its varied business needs, using modern software development tools & platforms, in an Agile development environment.  

Job Responsibilities:
•    Participating in the architecture and development of Web, Mobile and Desktop applications. 
•    Lead a small team of developers and manage successful delivery of software projects. 
•    Provide technical leadership to the team, establish, and implement good software development practices. 
•    Ability to determine impediments and provide solutions to complete tasks.
•    Collaborate with project stakeholders to manage various aspects of the project execution - analyzing new business requirements, task prioritization, coordinating schedules etc.  

Basic Qualifications: 
•    A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related fields.
•    7 plus years of experience in a Web or Software Developer role. 
•    Experience with programming languages like C#, Java, or C++   
•    Experience working with ASP.NET, NodeJS, PHP or similar web development framework.
•    Experience working with relational and or NoSQL databases - MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc. 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience working with .NET Core & Entity Framework.
•    Knowledge or experience working with Blazor or JS frameworks like ReactJS.
•    Familiarity with Queuing and Messaging systems like - RabbitMQ, Redis etc. 
•    Experience working with REST APIs or Microservices. 
•    Experience or knowledge of Cloud platforms and tools - AWS or Azure. 

Minimum Qualifications: 
•    Work collaboratively with a team and communicate well.
•    Detail oriented.
