Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Clinical Informatics Specialist/Trainer for our Leadership and Clinical Information Systems Team who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Clinical Informatics Specialist/Trainer you will:
• Be responsible for the development of training materials for the AHC electronic medical record (Cerner) and clinical information systems.
• This includes training material design, training modality decisions, incorporating stakeholder input, documentation, testing, training and go live support.
• Maintain and complete new/revised Cerner training materials including course design and development, videos, tip sheets, manuals and other training collateral
• Maintain and complete new Cerner build in the Emergency Medicine (FirstNet) Module and PowerNote ED.
• Maintain and complete new Cerner PowerChart build to include orders, PowerPlans, clinical documentation, iView, ED Tracking Shell and PowerForms.
• Review, build and test clinical rules and alerts.
• Update and build Cerner mPages.
• Meet with stakeholders to complete design and validation.
• Maintain and complete new/revised non-Cerner clinical information system and clinical workflow training.
• Stay current with adult learning strategies, clinical workflows, and optimization projects/updates to the EMR
• Collaborate with the Learning development team to ensure updated course material and assignments in the Learning Management System
• Meet with stakeholders to complete design and validation.
• Support Integration testing, project management duties, downtimes and go lives.
• Partner with Cerner build team and local clinical informatics teams to identify training needs and support ongoing optimization/adoption efforts.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Nursing, Application Management, or other technology related field
• 3-5 years of related experience in building, supporting and establishing complex application systems is required.
• Experience in Cerner Clinical Documentation Management solutions
• 2 years' of hands-on experience as a clinical application analyst within an information services department of a multi-entity acute care health system
• Clinical licensure preferred which may include one of the following: Pharmacy technician, Lab technologist, Radiology technologist, Respiratory Therapist and RN
• Hands on clinical applications management experience. Prefer end-to-end project lifecycle experience.
