Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Project Management Senior Analyst to support a Federal Government client at our Charleston, SC location. As a member of the Systems Development and Maintenance (SDM) team, the individual will support a newly developing PMO and organizational project management portfolio for the development, testing and implementation of software applications. The Senior Analyst will work as a member of the PMO and provide assistance to executive management, Project Managers, and project team members in establishing projects, providing guidance and best practices. The candidate will help develop/execute processes to oversee projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget and will also ensure the standards are held throughout each project's development and execution . Specific areas of focus include: helping with gathering, analyzing and reporting the information necessary to support software releases through the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial data, including scope, schedule, project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Provide financial reports and budget outlines to client executives and project teams
  • Draft new and improving existing PMO policies and processes.
  • Continuously evaluate projects to ensure they are meeting standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
  • Accurately document the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification, tracking baseline and updating performance and project health.
  • Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling of activities to establish and accomplish objectives
  • Communicates effectively with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform analysis of complex business functions and requirements as it relates to business needs. Understand and document customers' business processes and practices and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in project management
  • Perform work with minimal supervision
  • Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination

Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer/Management Information Systems, or related field
  • 6 years of overall relevant experience; 2 years of applicable project management experience working with a PMO, preferable in the software development environment
  • Knowledge of project management best practices
  • Expertise with MS Project
  • Expertise with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Ability to establish rapport with key participants of the project teams

Desired Qualifications
  • PMP or CAPM certification
  • MS in Project Management
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with Power BI Reporting
  • Experience with MS Project Server and SharePoint
  • Experience with CMMI-Dev Principles
