Term Assistant Professor, Computational Data Science The George Mason University, Department of Computational and Data Sciences (CDS) in the College of Science invites applications for a full-time, term faculty position at the Term Assistant Professor level. This is a term position and not eligible for tenure. About the Position:Starting in August 2023, the individual serving in this position will be responsible for teaching four courses per semester, maintaining the design of a multi-section undergraduate course, and contribute to the university through service. Teaching responsibilities will include both in-person and on-line modalities. Service to the department and university will be heavily based on the globalization of the CDS degree program.Required Qualifications:Applicants must have a masters degree in Data Science or Computational Science; andApplicants are expected to have experience in appropriate development software.Preferred Qualifications:Applicants with a doctorate degree; andApplicants with experience in globalization of undergraduate education programs.About the Department:CDS is an interdisciplinary department with major research directions in Modeling and Simulation, Data Science, and Computational Social Science.
