Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Business Analysis, Senior Analyst (Support) to support a Federal Government client on site in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
- Propose communication forums and prepare briefings and fact sheets for the Annual Financial Report (AFR) and related reconciliation and end-to-end financial reporting processes,
- Facilitate completion and quality assurance of AFRs and evidentiary documentation.
- Review AFRs to identify gaps in presentation and disclosures based on Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Boards (FASABs), OMB Circular No. A-136, Government Accountability Office (GAO) Financial Audit Manual (FAM) 2010, Checklist for Federal Accounting, and GAO FAM 2020 Checklist for Federal Reporting and Disclosures and provide recommendations.
- Gather and analyze data to be used in the AFR.
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation of the agency director's letter, CFO letter, management representation letters and preparation of materiality threshold.
- Assist with completion and analysis of internal and extermal trading partner reconciliations
- Assist with completion and analysis of accounts receivable and revenue reconciliations
- Provide support for the quarterly preparation of eliminations reconciliations and reports used to identify and correct variances affecting consolidated financial statements.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a four-year degree from an accredited college/ university with major/concentration in a relevant field including but not limited to:
- Accounting/Finance
- Engineering
- Mathematics/ Actuarial sciences
- Real Estate
- Communications
- Environmental Science
- Government and Public Administration
- Experience of five or more years in one the following but not limited to:
- Business Strategy
- Transformational Change Management
- Human Resources
- Business Process re-engineering
- Project Management
- Process Improvement
- Property, Plant, and Equipment
- Heritage Assets
- Environmental Liabilities
- Actuarial sciences
- Imputed costs
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Federal Government
- Experience with DOD or Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
