Learning & Development Manager HITT Contracting is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to manage the overall function of training and development companywide. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in both training and leadership development. The L&D Manager will make informed decisions regarding the HITT University program structure, courses and content, employee development programs, and development initiatives. This position will also serve as an aid to developing training content and materials to support various goals and initiatives within the company. The L&D Manager will report directly to the Senior Manager of Talent Development. HITT Contracting is headquartered in the Washington, DC area (Falls Church, VA). Responsibilities Align learning and development strategy with the company's overall business objectives Utilize industry best practices to best serve employees Coordinate and develop web-based courses to support our nationwide organization Design training requirements in alignment with broader career development initiatives Build a robust and sustainable leadership curriculum Ensure regular training of compliance-related courses companywide Advise on leadership development for future leaders within the company Create and deliver HITT-specific courses either as ILTs or web-based Responsible for researching and developing courses on construction topics as well as soft skills Ability to facilitate internal workshops or source external consultants Oversee the administration of the company's learning management system Maintain L&D and industry knowledge by attending educational events and reviewing publications Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of is required Training/facilitation certification required Curriculum design certification a plus Knowledge of fundamental HR principles and practices Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of fundamental HR principles and practices Keen attention to detail with ability to track and manage multiple projects at one time Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information Eagerness to integrate into a family-oriented, entrepreneurial, and highly demanding work environment HITT Contracting, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
