Staff AccountantJob Description:ATSC is seeking a Staff accountant to support its growing operational accounting requirements at the corporate headquarters in McLean, VA. This full-time onsite position will report to the Controller and assist with all aspects of transaction processing including accounts payable, employee reimbursements, accounts receivable and data entry in to Cost point or other systems as required.Additional Detail of Position Responsibilities:Support all transactional level accounting functions to include but not limed to: Accounts Payable, Expense Report processing, timesheet corrections, Data entry in to Cost Point & other systems.Assist the Controller with the monthly closing activities.Assist with recurring balance sheet account analysis.Assist with upkeep of accounting filing system & records including online folder maintenance.Provide Customer support for Vendor/supplier relations, coordinating with other parts of accounting org. of the company.Perform ad hoc analysis, reports as required by the controllerEnsure compliance with company s accounting policies and procedures as otherwise directed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or Business preferred. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of education.Four years overall experience with at least two years experience working in an accounting role in govt contracting.Deltek Cost Point/GCS Premier or Accounting ERP experience preferred.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.Basic knowledge of accounting rules, Contract types & customary skills essential to the role.High degree of organization, willing to learn and follow instructions and strong communication skills to support Controller effectively.US Citizenship required.
