Overview

Older Adults Technology Services from AARP (OATS) advocates for technology inclusion for the 50-plus, providing digital literacy training and programming to older adults. With nearly two decades of experience and insights on how older people interact with technology as well as its flagship programs like Senior Planet, OATS uses its resources to create world-class programs that form the basis for systems change.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with stakeholders to provide recommendations on printing and print executions for various projects.
  • Manages pre-production, production, and post-production of assigned printed projects.
  • Oversees production timelines with both creative team, stakeholders, and vendors, including drop dates and in-home dates.
  • Oversees, guides and coordinates resources and training for production staff.
  • Coordinates with editorial teams and internal stakeholders to ensure that the presentation and performance of digital content engages the 50+ demographic and amplifies the organization's social mission.
  • Supports constructive and productive partnerships with the organizations internal and external stakeholders to cultivate digital innovation and develop new multiplatform products.
  • Manages print production, including estimates, SOW's, vendors, printer proofs, scheduling drop dates and in-home dates, alternative printing solutions due to paper shortages, and press checks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, graphic design, or computer animation.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and managing projects related to content production including producing, scripting and content strategy.
  • Proven track record of creating high-quality, high-performing video concepts that reach diverse audiences.
  • Ability to ideate and execute compelling content that aligns with social media strategies, optimizations and best practices based on insights and testing, including for YouTube, Facebook and Instagram and TikTok.
  • Technical and production skills required:
    • Plan video shoots; scout, select and reserve shoot locations (if appropriate and necessary)
    • Develop production schedules
    • Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/special events,
    • Script development
    • Podcast production
    • Live streaming
    • Building interactive video experiences

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.

Compensation and Benefits

AARP offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including a 401(k); 100% company-funded pension plan; health, dental, and vision plans; life insurance; paid time off to include company and individual holidays, vacation, sick, caregiving, and parental leave; performance-based and peer-based recognition; tuition reimbursement; among others.

For this position, we anticipate offering a salary between $94,500.00 to $110,000.00 per year. This role is also eligible to participate in an annual incentive plan with a percentage up to 12%. Bonus eligibility is dependent upon organizational and individual performance.
