GEICO Technology Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to contribute to ALM tooling and automation offerings The candidate will work within a well-established agile Scrum team to help GEICO explore, standardize, and adopt new ALM capabilities (Azure DevOps) and tooling (GitHub Enterprise) while providing scripting support via automated work intake integrations, and operational support for escalated platform issues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Administer Azure DevOps and associated Azure IaaS infrastructure (build agents), including account level security and access configurations, changing tool capabilities, and integration points Administer Build Agent Azure IaaS Server Farm (Windows server administration, Linux server administration) Provide escalated operations support for Azure DevOps (build process troubleshooting, collection level administration, integration troubleshooting) Consult with business-line application teams on use of ALM tooling capabilities, best practices, and standards Evaluate new ALM tooling (GitHub Enterprise), testing new capabilities that support best in class developer experiences. Assist in building out build/release infrastructure, platform usage standards & best practices, and automation (work intake integrations) for GitHub Enterprise Scripting in support of existing and new ALM tool integrations and build agent server administration TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS REQUIRED Understanding and experience working with Microsoft Azure DevOps (work items, build/release, CICD) Ability to partner with a broad range of internal customers to understand ALM tooling needs Experience with Windows server administration at scale in Azure Cloud Ability to support multiple stakeholders/projects simultaneously and work in a very fast-paced environment Experience developing basic to medium PowerShell scripts, modules, functions to automate different processes and manual tasks Experience working with or querying REST APIs and Odata Understanding of code development best practices, process design and automation, security concepts, Agile concepts, tools, and technologies Experience with GIT source control repositories with Visual Studio IDE Familiarity with DevOps landscape, processes, standards, and tools Strong critical thinking, decision making, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills DESIRED/ ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE Passion for learning and professional growth, discovery and a commitment to excellence Experience with GitHub/GitHub enterprise Experience troubleshooting complex Azure DevOps build and release pipelines Experience working in agile teams and doing agile development and/or configuration management Experience with Linux server administration There is no degree requirement for this position.
