Job Summary The Systems Engineering Division (SED) provides unmatched experience in systems engineering to the US government and to numerous public and private agencies, universities, nonprofit organizations, consortia, and commercial companies involved in the advanced application of space technology. From systems architecture development to system analysis and optimization, astrodynamics, orbital debris, navigation, failure analysis, mission assurance, cost and schedule assessment, and economic market analysis, SED exploits an incredibly broad array of engineering and business disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs and national challenges. The Modeling and Simulation Computing Department (MSCD) consists of a team dedicated to ground-breaking software solutions and capabilities for government and commercial customer needs. We enable detailed and complex modeling, analysis, optimization, and visualization of satellite orbits, system architectures, and engineering trade-spaces to provide customer decision support for the future of space. What You'll Be Doing: Partner with sub-division analysts to help advisekey stakeholders and government customers by applying standard techniques and procedures to develop a range of modeling and simulation workflows in department focus areas Assist withefforts to grow and sustain the sub-division's modeling, simulation, and analysis capabilities in teams with multi-disciplinary technical leaders, AerospaceProgram Office personnel, and external customersto define and address customer needs Develop and present timely and technically accurate briefings and reports that clearly communicate software development progress and provide recommended design solutions to technical leads, management, and customers Proactively engage with management and colleagues to develop technical maturity for independent contributions Engage with software users and customers to refine capability requirements Apply modern development practices in areas including software architecture design, workflow design and integration, and verification testing Travel as necessary to support customer efforts What You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or other related disciplines from an accredited school Academic or professional experience in technical writing and technical presentation Proficiency in one or more of the department's core computer languages (eg, Fortran, C++, Python, Matlab, etc.) Knowledge relating to the design and integration of modern software for deployment on Windows and Linux platforms The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance How You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of these: Academic or professional experience working as a member of a technical team Academic or professional experience in primary department areas of support Academic or professional experience in designing and integrating modern software for deployment on Windows and Linux platforms Current TS/SCI security clearance Grade-Based Pay Range (Min - Mid - Max) $67,573 - $117,940 - $168,307 Ways We Reward Our Employees During your interview process, our team will provide details of our industry-leading benefits.
