We are currently seeking a Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team in Crystal City, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US). Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will be responsible for performing the following activities: Utilize the NIST RMF to implement day-to-day and scheduled activities associated with assigned systems. Oversee the evaluation of the assigned information systems' security control compliance based on the appropriate requirements and customer's monitoring strategy Management of emerging and defined risks associated with the administration and use of assigned information systems Coordination with the Cyber-securityUnit to achieve and maintain the information systems' compliance and authorization to operate (ATO) Provide the technical expertise and professional judgement necessary to guide and oversee the adherence to security requirements, policies and processes Generate and interpret documentation needed to address the items detailed within the CSAM Work within a team environment to provide technically sound guidance and solutions in order to adhere to the cyber-securityindustry best practices and customer's monitoring strategy Analyze collected information to identify vulnerabilities and potential for exploitation and effectively present the results and guidance derived from scans to system owners or other leadership, as required Effectively communicate orally and in writing to track and detail the demands, efforts and shortcomings in meeting the goals of customer's information system monitoring strategy Support the integration/testing, operations, and maintenance of systems security Develops, updates, and maintains internal Standard Operating Procedure for all internal assigned functions Provides system operation support, administers hardware and software inventory. Understanding, managing and maintaining various system types as well as developing and maintaining the associated system documentation and artifacts to support authorization to operate (ATO) efforts. Support and evaluate cloud based offerings under review and/or utilized by the Agency Basic Qualifications: Minimum of six (6) years of overall IT experience supporting ISSO(s) and/or supporting Information Security systems Minimum of three (3) years of direct experience as ISSO, security analyst, or security engineer. Familiarity with program security responsibilities to include, but not limited to the NIST RMF, audit log reviews, system monitoring, SPAA processes, FISMA requirements, vulnerability & compliance scanning, continuous monitoring activities, security testing and evaluation, and security policies. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems analysis, science/technology, information management, computer engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience Ability to obtain Public Trust Preferred Qualifications: A+, Network+, Security+, SSCP, CCNA certifications and/or one of the following CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP 2 years of experience supporting validated desktop, server, network, systems administration, troubleshooting, implementation security requirements in Microsoft Windows 10, OS imaging, installation, configuring, and support & troubleshooting Familiarity with Splunk,, and/or other system monitoring tools General knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP ports, protocols and services, switching, and routing Familiarity with security hardening guides & tools (DISA STIGs/SCAP) Familiarity with the implementation and management of key cloud security services and/or features within AWS or Azure Cloud Consoles. Demonstrate a working knowledge of managingand maintaining systems or applications in a cloud based environment. Willingness to learn new technologies & take on new projects to grow experience Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a high energy, fast paced environment Adaptability to changing business needs Comfort working with minimal daily supervision Ability to balance multiple priorities Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Top Secret Clearance Candidates for this position will be required to adhere to NTT DATA's and its clients' COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
