GEICO Technology Solutions Underwriting Systems PACE is seeking hands-on Engineering Managers who will lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and support GEICO's next generation rating and underwriting platform. In this position, you will be responsible for driving engineering excellence across direct reports on one to two teams. You will be involved in Scaled Agile delivery of the engine that runs GEICO. You will be hands on with application design, working with business partners, and building out team engineering culture. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience Working knowledge of object-oriented development, Gang of Four (GOF) Design Patterns, Microservices, Dependency Injection with IOC containers, and both frontend and backend unit testing 5+ years of experience in full stack .NET software development, especially in the areas of: C#, Angular/React/Vuejs, JavaScript/TypeScript, Web API, MVC, proficient with MS SQL Server and No SQL such as Cosmos DB 2+ years of experience hands on building and deploying apps (preferably cloud-native) in either Azure or AWS 2+ years' experience with automated testing including Unit, Integration, and End-to-End functional testing 5+ years of development in a large-scale, mission-critical environment Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum is preferred Passionate about software development and reimagining insurance Excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills is a must Looking for extreme ownership, responsibility, and initiative Flexibility to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to lead a team of software engineers Passionate about mentoring and coaching team members *Please Note: This position is open for Manager and Senior Manager level depending on experience Benefits : At GEICO, we make sure you have the support and resources to leverage and develop your skills, secure your financial future, and take care of your health and well-being.
