Job Summary and Qualifications As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Chippenham Hospitals Level 1 Trauma Center in the MSTICU, you will provide direct nursing care to our most critical care patients. You will be a part of a dynamic 32 bed unit that focusses on a team approach to patient care. Our ICU is at the center of developing the Nurse Leaders of the future. You will administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs. As a member of this team you will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Our nurses serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. As a nurse on our team you will be responsible for coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. REQUIREMENTS Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor s Degree preferred. 1 Year of ICU Experience preferred. Licensed or license eligible, as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Board of Health Professions. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Required This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
