A$ A' "A' ?Marketing Coordinator, Smithsonian Travel The Smithsonian Institution is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator, in our Washington, DC office. This role will be responsible for the coordination and execution of a range of marketing initiatives. The Coordinator will have two primary areas of focus 1) Assisting with production and distribution of print marketing materials, and 2) Customer Relationship Management (CRM)/Database support. This position is perfect for someone looking to learn and to grow their marketing skills.A' Duties and Responsibilities include the following:A' A' Direct Mail Project manage the production and review of direct mail promotions for several travel styles, including River Cruising, Private Jet, and Student Travel. Must work closely with external tour operators and internal team, managing schedules, proofreading, coordinating feedback, and more - requiring close attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.Assist Senior Marketing Manager with in-house catalog production including the Journeys catalog, Cruise Catalog, and Tailor-Made Catalog. Tasks may include fact checking, photo research, coordinating map edits, routing proofs, and more.Assist Senior Audience Development Manager with list procurement and administration, and campaign analysis/reporting.CRM / DatabaseAssist in maintaining Salesforce CRM/database cleanliness (eg, NCOA, address standardization batch runs).On a regular basis, send data to Smithsonian magazine, Smithsonian Store, and other internal SI/SE units, upload leads from social media and other external sources, and support customer data management requests.Other DutiesCoordinate efforts to promote SJ with internal SI and SE divisions. Manage calendars and work with internal creative designer to meet deadlines. Support the Digital Content Manager with drafting and publishing content to the Journeys website via a content management system (CMS). On a regular basis, audit website for accuracy, including maps, brochure availability, and more.Serve as back-up to Digital Content Manager and Digital Marketing Manager, as needed. Coordinate marketing presentations as needed. Work with marketing team to manage centralized master marketing calendar.Contribute to the ongoing creation and modification of marketing strategies and processes.Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors and partners, including tour operators.A' Education/Knowledge /Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization (marketing or related field) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant marketing experience.Experience with traditional direct mail, mail production, writing, editing, proof-reading, and Adobe Creative Cloud.Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems (Salesforce).Experience with Microsoft Excel.Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills are necessary.Exceptional organization and project management skills, with ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
