You will get the opportunity to work with Kubernetes and all the new technologies that make it production-ready such as lifecycle management, observability, business-continuity, and app/dev usage that all fold into the Tanzu family of products. As a subject-matter expert you will create content, share your knowledge with key stakeholders, and present at internal, partner-led, and industry-wide events.We need someone who will enable the internal technical sales teams and external audiences on new Tanzu Kubernetes Platform releases which uses Kubernetes as the underlying technology. The Tanzu portfolio stretches beyond the use of VMware vSphere as VMware transforms into a company focused on delivering multi-cloud solutions. Experience working with public cloud providers helps demonstrate Tanzu's multi-cloud capability. The bedrock of datacenter infrastructure across compute, network, storage, and management, including both consumption and operations tasks are still part of this role.Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?As a technical thought-leader and expert:You will be expected to provide feedback to product teams.You will become more knowledgeable about Tanzu products by getting hands-on and testing which is critical to the success of the product and making sure VMware customers have a great user experience.Produce collateral like building technical overview presentations, deep-dive presentations, blogs, videos, and more to establish awareness, pipeline, and convert users to paid products.Develop educational content with other business units who are responsible for hands-on-labs and tools used to provide trial access to Tanzu products.You will be a presenter at events and webinars to share your knowledge.What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?As a Technical Marketing Manager, you will:Work across groups and establish relationships with Product Management and Product Marketing counterparts to determine the type of content that needs to be developed.Stay committed to learning about Kubernetes and the vast array of integrations on the market to see how Tanzu can benefit.Write engaging blog posts that share new improvements or highlight features on Tanzu products.Produce entertaining videos that demonstrate and showcase Tanzu technologies.Build presentations that will be used by the global salesforce to talk about Tanzu products to customers around the globe.The knowledge and skills you have will translate into presenting Tanzu solutions at VMware events such as VMUG and VMworld, but also extends to partner-led and industry-related events that will require traveling up to 10%.Your mission will be to connect with customers and the technical sales field, understand their challenges, and communicate a vision for how Tanzu products can address those challenges.What is the leadership like for this role?
