A$ A' "A' ?Kelly is hiring a Chemical Engineering Technician for one of our pharmaceutical clients in Gaithersburg, MD.Shift: day shift position with the hours of 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday.Pay: $26/hr6 month contractRoughly every 4th weekend they would be required to work minimal hours (4 hours max most times) on Saturday and or Sunday and we do have processing weeks that occur approximately over two weeks per month that we have a 2nd shift that works 2pm to 1030pm-We need someone who can be flexible to these schedule demands . Experience: We are looking for junior to mid-level candidates with Chemical Engineer or Biotechnology degrees.Ideal Candidate Profile:1) Big Plus -- Familiar with all aspects of manufacturing (upstream and downstream processes)2) Buffer and Media preparation experience3) Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology degree4) Quick-learner; team player; good communication5) We will consider entry-level candidates, as long as they have a Chemical Engineering Degree. Also, relevant Internship or Co-Op experience would be great.Job Description:Set-up complex equipment, change over, clean and maintain relevant, critical operating equipment to enable the smooth running of the plant/section/unit. Diagnose and take steps to resolve equipment/product quality issues to ensure the continued smooth running of the plant/section/unit. Deliver training, development and mentoring of new starters and existing team members. All to comply with Good Manufacturing Practice, Safety Health & Environment and AstraZeneca standards.
