We are looking for an Architect/Principal Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing Skunkworks team. Skunkworks at Cvent is focused on building innovative video-centric solutions for hybrid and virtual events and these solutions run the gamut from video production tools to video streaming and delivery. You should also have great analytical skills and ability to handle complex, modular software development in a collaborative team-based environment.In This Role, You Will:Lead and mentor teams of dedicated engineers to build Internet scale applications where performance, reliability, and scalability, are critical design goals - not afterthoughts.Create beautiful, interactive, and easy-to-use web applications using modern client-side frameworks and libraries.Ensure the quality of the product remains high by leveraging cutting edge automation and unit/integration/api testing practicesEvaluate and prototype POC using the best technologies for the jobInvestigate, identify, solve, and fix software problemsTrack down and destroy technical debt using a variety of modern toolsWork with other products and teams in the Cvent suite to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systemsHelp your teammates grow through coaching, mentorship and tech talks Here's What You Need:8+ years of overall enterprise product development experience working with React, Vue, or AngularExperience with designing, using, and implementing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIsExperience building and supporting high-volume, enterprise grade, client facing services with high scalability and availability requirementsExperience scaling and securing applications in AWS or a similar cloud platformStrong understanding of cross-browser compatibility and limitation issues Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React and Next.js will be a big plusBachelors in Computer Science OR related technical discipline.
