A$ A' "A' ?Our client, a school system in Fairfax County, VA is seeking a Senior Network Engineer/Architect for a 6-12 month, possible contract-to-hire position. The Senior Network Engineer/Architect leads the design and implementation of on-premise and cloud-based LAN/WAN and wireless systems; builds highly resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure and architectures; coordinates strategies for defining, deploying, and maintaining the existing network architecture. This individual participates in designing solutions, planning, executing new implementations, working out new product integration and recommending LAN/WAN/wireless improvements. Provides team leadership to other technical staff. Plans, executes, and manages complex technical tasks and projects.Responsibilities:? Lead projects in the delivery of cloud and IT infrastructure solutions with the goal of improving technical operations and business performance. (Examples of current projects include network access control configuration for wireless BYOD users, cloud and data center migration activities (AWS), microsegmentation within enterprise data centers (Cisco ACI), and voice modernization planning.? Develop high-level migration plans, budgets, and implementation strategies for cloud services, on-premise infrastructure, and networking capabilities? Implementation and migration experience across any of the following: ? AWS/GCP ? Data Centers & Networks ? Network Access Control and Wireless Onboarding for BYODQualifications:Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a field related to information systems or business management, or related field, plus ten years of progressive work experience in engineering advanced network and infrastructure solutions.Advanced networking and infrastructure-related certifications preferred.Experience with network, infrastructure and cloud-related projects and workstreams, specifically in the areas of data center migration to cloud IaaS (AWS), network access control and wireless BYOD onboarding, data center and overall network optimization and security.
