Alphatec PC's award winning portfolio and strong commitment to energy efficient and environmentally responsible buildings is a major focus of the firm and is embodied within each design, with the majority of projects achieving LEED Silver certificationJob DescriptionDevelop design solutions for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage communications systems with integrated architecture and engineering project design teamsPrepare basic deliverables such as equipment selection, calculations, construction documents, specifications, design analysis, and completion of projectsContribute to Alphatec's sustainable design initiatives for USGBC and GBI submissions in pursuit of LEED or Green Globe certificationsMust be able to assist Electrical team on multiple projects, exhibit technical leadership, support to team members, and verify that all work is completed as planned and scheduledConduct building systems survey and prepare assessmentsMid-Level position within the Electrical Engineering department, offering additional opportunities for a leadership role within the company for engineers who perform at an exceptional levelDesired Skills and ExperienceEducational Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and/or MSEEPE license preferred, pursuit to licensure requiredMid-Level, 5-12 years experience in the design of electrical systemsProficiency in AUTODESK Building Design Suite (AutoCAD and Revit)CEM, RCDD, LEED GA or LEED AP BD+C preferredBroad knowledge of standard codes and compliance methods, including DoD UFC criteriaStrong communication and organizational skills required to undertake multiple projectsUS citizenship and valid driver's license required for government clearanceExperience in all project phases (design, CD's & follow-on)Job Type: Full-time
