A$ A' "A' ?Who We Are:The Fund for the Public Interest is seeking hard-working individuals with good communication skills and a passion for social change to fill citizen outreach and field manager positions across the country. We currently have paid canvasser and field manager positions open in select cities across the country.This summer, we are running campaigns across the country, including campaigns to fight plastic pollution by banning polystyrene foam. A lot of pollution comes from things we don't need and that we've known for decades we shouldn't be using -- such as foam cups and takeout containers. This trash ends up in our rivers, lakes and oceans, where it injures or kills birds and other marine animals like sea turtles. So we're working to pass statewide bans on polystyrene across the country.Pay:Staff generally earn an average of between $16-21 per hour, which varies by location. You are paid a base hourly rate of $15.91 per hour for meeting the minimum performance standard, plus may earn an additional $1-7 per hour or more for exceeding the minimum performance standard. Staff never earn less than minimum wage for the hours that they work. So, you could earn an average of between $16 and $21 per hour depending on performance.
